BayMark Financial, Inc. is a small, but efficient, full service mortgage brokerage firm located in the heart of the San Francisco Peninsula, specializing in the origination and servicing of short-term Trust Deed Notes. BayMark Financial is a real estate broker licensed by the California Department of Real Estate. We have always been located on Bovet Road in San Mateo which provides our clients easy access to and from our firm from highways 101 or 280.

BayMark Financial was established in 1982 by its current President and Real Estate Broker, Mark Engelman. Mr. Engelman, a Univeristy of California Berkeley Business Administration graduate, started full-time in the equity mortgage loan business in 1976. In 1977 he established his own mortgage firm, which was incorporated in 1982 as BayMark Financial, Inc.

Mr. Engelman oversees all operations of BayMark Financial which include loan origination, loan documentation/processing, loan funding, and Note servicing and collecting.

If you are an existing investor with BayMark Financial, you already know that it is Mr. Engelman who interacts with you in reviewing and making recommendations for your trust deed investments.

Our borrowers usually will have first contact with BayMark Financial’s full-time Loan Officer, Edwin Elliott. Mr. Elliott brings to BayMark Financial his experience and background in real estate loans and sales which began in 1978. Mr. Elliott has been with BayMark Financial since its inception.

An integral part of BayMark Financial operations centers around its full-time Office Administrator and Loan Processor, Linda Stevens. Mrs. Stevens has grown up on the San Francisco Peninsula and we are pleased to report that she has been with BayMark Financial since 1984.

The fourth significant person at BayMark Financial is the Assistant Office Administrator, Elaine Lam. Mrs. Lam has now been with our organization for several years and her duties are key in all our Trust Deed Note originations and servicing.

With a small staff at BayMark Financial, we are able to offer very personal yet professional service, which is seldom seen today. It also allows us to quickly answer questions you may have and for us to efficiently meet our borrowers’ and investors’ financial needs.
